BWNVVA National Commander and MVA Board member Mike Yates, MVA Deputy Chief of Staff for Congressional Liaison Susie Belanger, MVA Deputy Chief of Staff for Legislative Affairs Jim Kuiken, MVA board member Brian Moyer and John Wells will meet with VA Secretary Robert Wilkie at 9am on December 3rd.

It took only 9 months after the Japanese earthquake in 2011 for debris to travel over 8,000 miles to reach the shores of California. They expected it to take over 3 years. Don't you think that it would be very easy for Agent Orange to make it's way out to the waters surrounding the carriers in the gulf, only miles form the shore. My husband was stationed of the coast of Vietnam on the America CV66 during the Vietnam War. He never smoked, never drank, did not have high cholesterol, and was not over weight, and yet he had a 99% blockage of his coronary artery. Even though he was tested for over 20 years. When they found his prostate cancer, it was advanced enough that he had to have a radical prostatectomy. They never tested for exposure to this chemical during the war. They have no way to test for it now. How can they believe that science is on their side? When the VA asked for information on the possibility of exposure, they were told, they didn't have enough data to find out. When my husband came back from the war in 1969 at age 23 he had chronic heartburn that has lasted every day of his life since then. He didn't have it before he went into the service. He is now 73 and still suffering. If you drink weed killer in your water, it probably would cause life long problems. He also has diabetes. He takes about 13 pills a day and even though the VA helps some, it is still a lot to pay for in retirement. Our country helps so many people around the world. Please help the men you send in to fight and die for our country. We owe it to them. Time is running out. You won't have to pay for that many years until they will all be gone.
