As you know at some point in the future we hope to file to become a Register Veterans Service Organization. To do that we need to have over 2000 Members, We are at 1120 right now. We have a long way to go. You know what we do and you should know the Leadership works hard on this, but we maybe be able to do even more if we become a Register Veterans Service Organization.
So I am asking everyone to do what they can to get more Members. If you belong to other other site see if you can get some of them to join us. $25 isn't that much and I am sure that everyone gets way more in return than what $25 will get you. We Have started an In Memorial Page on the Blue Water Navy Association Website (www.bluewaternavy.org). You can see it at https://www.bwnvva.org/in-memoriam.html.
We are adding Veterans names to it that have died as a result of their Service to our Nation. The cause can be related to Toxic Exposure such as Agent Orange or Asbestos or died while is the Action. If you have someone you would like to add, either go to the site and Hit the Add Veteran Button or send me their information (Name, Service, Born, Died, Cause, and any other information) to [email protected]. They don’t have to be a Navy Veteran, they can be from any of the Armed Services. I want to make sure you know that we are making sure that the page is known in other areas such as the Halls of Congress, VSOs, and the Media.
